The 3D videowall is a large 110-inch diagonal multi-screen 3D display wall in a 2×2 multi-display set-up based on 4x 55-inch ultra-slim bezel 3D Displays as you can see in the image below :

Each display has FHD (1920×1080) resolution, so the total resolution is 3840×2160 pixels.




A 3D videowall comes as a complete end-to-end solution including 3D displays, mounting rig, play-out hardware and software, control software and dedicated 3D content creation tools.

For the 2×2 set-up play-out is being done by a single computer that addresses the videowall as a mosaic of in total QFHD resolution.
 For a larger set-up a different set-up might be chosen, e.g. with synchronized play-out hardware for each display.

AUO announced it will show several OLED prototypes at the FPD International 2011 exhibition later this week. The company will show a new 32" Full-HD OLED TV prototype. This TV uses a Metal Oxide TFT as backplane and is only 3mm thick. AUO says that the TV has a quick response time and high contrast ratio. Hopefully the company will unveil the specifications and commercialization plans during the conference.
